Night and Day

As the dark horizon lay in front
An Emergence just like a Sagittarian blunt,
Challenging the very path from where it emerged with a ghastly fright
Engulfing with it, the sun, the moon and every glitter of light,
Shaking the very foundations of life
And every skill of your life fails to suffice,
You ask yourself, is it your figment of imagination
Or just your life’s animation?

A point comes in everyone’s life
When we question the daily struggle with the seriousness of a murderer’s knife,
And yet as the night vanishes for a new day
Tearing it as if it were a mere play,
Displacing it with a slight force
Filling everyone with a refreshing source.

The cycle continued before you were born
And will withstand time long after you are gone,
It is this cycle that makes this journey worthwhile,
For without the night,
We would never know the value of light

Existence

Existence. As we stand at the culmination of our civilization, spoilt for choice and opportunities, weaving ourselves an intricate web of problems and potential stress situations, one begins to ponder, why all the hard work and struggle. Surely, the hard work guarantees a better future or in a more direct sense, financial gratification. But is it really the purpose of life? Or is it just an illusion to divert us from our actual path if there exists one? These and many other questions are nothing but a fly trapped on a spider’s web. The more we struggle for an answer the more we are trapped in the realm of esoteric and enigmatic dimensions which ultimately results in giving up on the solution and indulging ourselves in worldly pleasures.
As life moves without any intermission, we are but sometimes reduced to mere spectators. The world might be called a stage and we the actors but it more or less feels like a puppet show with the controller far beyond our intellectual comprehension. The powerlessness of our lives might sometimes make us feel crippled and fractured. As human beings we have the tendency of trying to control everything in life .The conflicting behavior of the above mentioned fact and this basic human nature are always at wits end, resulting in sadness, depression and in some worst cases loss of mental equilibrium. While the solution might look simple of just letting things go, it is just as difficult to achieve, with the effort comparable to that required by a chronic coke addict trying to kick the habit.
While we are all preoccupied by the little things life, devoting most of our time in pursuit of immediate sense gratification, one begs to question, what is the main purpose of all the hoopla? For instance, Technology-developed with the sole purpose of reducing human effort and increase free time. On the contrary, we are always under time pressure and are always tired. There are many such examples .
So the question arises, why do we exist in the way we exist? Perhaps we might never find the correct answer to this question but quest to the solution itself I believe is the first step in the right direction.
